Dr. Brett Bauscher is a graduate of Oregon State University and has been a practicing veterinarian since 1991. He is a native Caldwellite, and enjoys giving back to his community through volunteering as a Caldwell Police Department Reserve Officer, a den leader for his son's cub scout pack, a member of Knights of Columbus, and Caldwell Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the AVMA, IVMA, and is the consulting veterinarian for D & B Supply.

Suzanne has worked with Brett in the veterinary field since 1997. She graduated from Vallivue H.S. in 1988, and earned a B.Sc. in Biology from Oregon State University in 1992. She is a Certified Veterinary Technician, and Office Manager at Canyon Small Animal Hospital. In her free time, Suzanne enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her husband, Brett, and their son, Ryan. They have a Catahoula/Border Collie "Jinx", and their cat who lives at the clinic, "Mo".

Experience: started as a volunteer at the Bonner Humane Society Spay & Neuter Clinic in Sandpoint, ID in 1988, became office manager in 1991 and then clinic director through 2006 (moved down here to be closer to family & friends). Focus: I try to focus on the bond between clients & their pets & make it a positive experience for both of them, emphasizing the importance of regular veterinary care for their beloved "babies". Hobbies: Gardening, cooking, craft projects, reading, sewing & of course playing with my dog & taking him for excursions to Lake Lowell, etc. Pets: 2 cats, 1 dog - who truly is woman's Best Friend!

"I have been raised around animals my whole life. Growing up we had goats, cows, sheep, a pig, horses, ducks, chickens, dogs, a donkey, a guinea pig, cats, rabbits, geese, fish, a turtle, and even lizards. I started competing in rodeos as soon as I turned of age, and worked behind the scenes with my parents. Between rodeos, my family spent a great deal of time on my grandpa's ranch gathering and branding cows. I have worked numerous jobs since I turned 16 starting as a waitress. Before landing this job I worked for a couple from Texas traveling along with them from show to show exercising their cutting horses and caring for them. Unfortunately, it was too much time away from family and my own animals, so I found a job close to home. I still compete in rodeos, although mostly local ones now. I do have to say I feel quite lucky to have found this job, and I do love my work here."
Valene came to work with our team in June of this year, and brings with her several years of experience working as a technician in Nampa and Boise. She also owns and operates her own mobile grooming business. She is married with two children, and owns a cat and two dogs.
